My Favorite Princesses

It was so funny when I went to Michael's to get some paper, stickers, etc. You know the typical stuff you do, when preparing to scrapbook. So there are papers, kits and sticker of princesses. I would pick them up and think oh those are cute. Then as I thought about it, Ariel, Belle, & Mulan weren't around when I went to Disney Land as a child. Such a reminder that I am getting older. My daughter asks me if I met Ariel, sadly I did not. When I took my boys they weren't interested in meeting the "princesses" but here are some pages I did of the two different times I went with my dad.
Featuring my favorite princesses! Princess Aurora is my favorite. Just a little FYI for ya! I absolutely love the fairies. I think they turned out so cool. My cricut never ceases to amaze me.
I This is the layout for the second year that we went. Still with my favs. Thank goodness there are so different poses you can do.

Pinochio

This LO I really like. I used my "life is a beach" cartridge. I remember being amazed at how life like these little houses were I went on this ride.
I am trying to use my retiring SU colors. That has been my personal challenge. Because seriously what else am I going to do with it? The whale is cut from bordering blue. The rest of the blue is Brocade.
I thought the buttons added a cute touch, along with the google eye. My little guy really pops out! He is such a cute whale. I see a bright future for him. "get whale" cards "whale of a birthday" cards. So I hope you have this cartridge- and can play with this whale.
Have a great day!

May Trade Cards (SC165)

The challenge this month was to se Splitcoast challenge #165 with a birthday theme.
Let's see how we all did.

(Holly) I think this is the closest to the sketch that we have all stayed. Nice job for your take on it, and for using your SU build a brad set.

Smurftastic Birthday!!!

This is the cake I made for my little girls birthday. We love to watch the Smurfs together. So when she saw this cake pan, she absolutely wanted to have a blue party, featuring Smurfette. I got her the first season of the Smurfs on DVD. "Now we can watch them everyday" She says.
I ordered the Smurf figurines from amazon. She was disappointed to find out that they were only for decoration. They are mommies, I did tell her she could play with them when she wanted. LOLThe mushroom is from "Tink & Friends" The Smurfette I found on an online coloring book. Printed it out and colored her with my copics.
These are her cupcakes, she decorated, and we put the smurfs on. We had blue cake, blue punch, blue flatware, plates etc. She had a blast. She was amazed at all the blue. Almost everyone wore blue too. Good party participants, even Grandpa.
These are all from an online coloring book. I had so much fun decorating for her party. I can't wait to do her scrapbook full of blue, and Smurfs that I colored. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Disney in the 70's

I have been having so much fun scrapping these pages. I get to relive Disney, when I went with my dad. It brings back so many memories. It's amazing sometimes you forget things, and your memory is jogged with a smell, a song, and especially a picture. I am glad that I like to scrapbook. Saving memories is important, but it's more enjoyable to look at when creatively put together. That's my opinion anyway. I definitely must take my daughter to Disney Land. I have taken my boys~but I am due again. Hopefully in September, then I can scrapbook my babies trip.
I used some Disney paper I used, as well as my cricut to cut out Dale, or Chip-which ever you prefer. I think it's Dale though. :)
I think meeting Chip & Dale were my favorite. I remember them being the funniest.
Here is a closeup of my chipmunk. I used the Mickey & friends cartridge. He is cut at 3". I think he is adorable. It is amazing that the Cricut people can these pieces of cut paper so close. Great job Cricut people. lol Hope you have a great day.

Sea World

Ya know I gotta say thank goodness for DAD's sometimes. My dad put these into an album for me, and saved them. Now when I get my grubby little hands on them. They look nice, and not all cut up like the ones that have been in my possession. He did ask me why I didn't leave them the way he had them In one of those of those albums that you just slide the pictures into. "well I have to express my creativity" These LO I am much more pleased with, basically because I was more inspired because the pictures are whole. I used the "life's a beach" cartridge for all of these LO. That cartridge really has cute images on it. I am glad I broke it out. We had a great time together. :)

Ok *smile* have a great day

Massacred pics

I am having the hardest getting inspired to create good pages, when I have massacred my photos. I really wish so badly I would have left the back grounds on them. Or at the very least cut them with nice shapes. Kids these day are so spoiled with all the fancy gadgets in scrap booking supplies. LOL. Imagine using scissors now to trim photos. Or to cut out a simple heart. Oh no, no, no I pull out my cricut. Or SU punch. ha ha! I have to laugh, or I would cry. Despite the pics I am pleased how the LO turned out. Trip to visit my brother and sister in Lovelock, NV. My niece and nephew (just a few years ago) My brother and his kids. Wasn't he a good lookin' guy? tata for now!! ~Sharon

Elementary Pages

Ok, I told you have been super scrappin'! Here are some pages I did a couple weeks ago of my elementary pages. They are just very simple. I know there are some people (I won't name names) that are scared to start sticking pictures on pages. These pages are very un-intimidating! But they still look really cute. Maybe it's the simplicity that is so attractive. So if you pictures hiding in a drawer, or like mine were. In one of those magnetic albums, let's get busy. :) :) :)
My Kindergarten pictures.
1st grade and...2nd grade I hope you have a great day, and accomplish something FUN!!!

A Promise Made SC277

This is our swap challenge for June 2010,
using a wedding or anniversary theme.
Following SC277 from Splitcoast Stampers
Stamp sets: Happily ever, Embrace Life Paper: Perfect plum, Barely Banana, Close to Cocoa Colored with: SU wonder crayons, vanilla, basic gray, perfect plum Stamped in: Basic Gray Oh sometimes wedding cards are so hard to do. I have had this set for about 2 years, and have only used it maybe 3 times--not nearly enough. This is the first time I used this punch, I think it will quickly become one of my favorites. So very nice to look at. The bling was added to keep it with the sketch. May life treat you well today. These are the actual ones I made for the trade. You see I made my sample a while ago. Before the retired colors. So I got rid of all my close to cocoa and had to improvise. It worked.

Bags for Grandma's

Welcome to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #10!!!!!!
The challenge this week is to use create a 3-D project, and incorporate the color black.
I made this bag for Grandma Stark. I used Tags, Bags, Boxes & More I stretched the design as much as possible. (I have got to get me larger paper.) =) Then cut it out. I put some acetate for the window. I am so excited I earned enough cricut rewards to get a free cartridge...dum dum dum... I got Beyond Birthdays!!!!! This is my first project using it. I used it to make the card and the verse. This cartridge is not one that was high on my wish list. But for the price of shipping, what the hay!!!! I stamped with SU craft inks using sprinkles set. Then added some bling.
My BF thought the box was filled with paper--silly man I said those are bath salts. "oh grandma will like that" he said and I thought to myself "I know that's why I did it." lol
This one I made for Grandma Cook. Same principle as above. Only it is filled with peppermint foot soak.
Here you can see the detail of the craft ink on the dark paper. I love that look!!!!! The color chosen here is Orchid Opulence. Well I must go create something else. I am on a scrapbooking kick! So I am sure it will be along those lines!!! Take care and have a great day.

Ahoy Matey

Ahoy, Matey!!!
I made this card for Dru's Brother in Law! After dance class last night we stopped at Michaels. I had one of those 50% off coupons burning a whole in my pocket. As you've probably noticed when you have those great coupons everything you want is already on sale. I was planning on using it on this paper pack- since it was $8.00 well, when it rang up it was only .99 cents. I should've went back and grabbed everything on the rack, to which ones were the "good deals" it sure wasn't marked low. So I got a great steal. I don't have any Pirate stamps (yet) so I used my cricut to create the pirate. He is from Paper Doll Dress UP. Well, that is about it. I am going to go give this card away now.
Hope you have a terrific day.

Mom Day Card

I feel like I am getting the hang of painting with my copics. This is the second card I made using this boy. This one is for Dru's mom. It reminds me of my man- being so shy hiding flowers behind his back. We are going up to visit his family latter this afternoon. I made her an etched glass plate as well. We are also going to stop and get her some petunias to plant in the yard. Dad is BBQ'n so it should be an excellent day. We did "my" Mother's Day yesterday- I got the best bbq chicken, made by my son. Also got to spend time with friends and family. What could be better right ;0) except another day of the same.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!! Hope you have an awesome day! hugs & smiles Details: Paper: SU DSP, bordering blue Accessories: ribbon, sunshine flower, Stamps, sunday best HH. teeny tiny wishes SU

Daddy's Sweetheart

I have always been daddy's little sweetheart and mommies little brat, still to this day. I guess it's a good thing my dad raised me. These pictures were taken when I was 3 and 4 years old. At that point my parents were still married. I love the one where I am trying not to smile. That totally shows my attitude! lol. I will do what I want -when I want. See the brat? I loved how this layout came together. My dad thought it was really cute too. Before I added journaling, my dad said I was always daddy's sweetheart. So I had to put that on there. He chuckled, when he saw my page put together.
Paper is from SU-I cut some of the flowers from the paper, and added some ribbon to it. I think that is one of my favorite techniques (to use the paper for embellishments) Ribbon Su Cartridge: all mixed up I hope you are creating your little hearts out. Have a great day!!!

Senior Year

Well now I have aged myself. But I think there comes a point in your life when you are ok with who you are. You know your getting older- and find consolation that so is everybody else. I find myself looking forward to grandchildren. Although my oldest is only 20, and still lives at home. So I think a few more years would be appropriate. Our colors were black and red so I was trying to keep my LO with matching colors.

the paper is from SU: sahara sand stamps: Jumbo Wheel; very vintage rolled in basic gray the butterfly is a misc one I picked up a long time ago, and stamped in red riding hood. accessories: ribbon, and ribbon slide, misc stickers punch: SU corner punch Cartridge: Cursive 101 for "senior" Have a great day!! See you soon.

Lake Tahoe

My goal this year is to get caught up on my scrapbooking. This year has started out with a few deaths. There were 3 last week, and 2 earlier this year. Either of friends, or relations of friends. So I think I am feeling nostalgic, and I want to get my story ready for my kids. (at least what I captured of it) Anyway I took this trip with my dad before I moved out. I had a habit of cutting the pictures down to just the object. I am so mad at myself for that, it made me have a hard time getting inspired. These are some that I left for the most part whole. I think this LO turned out very pretty and soft just like Lake Tahoe. Well let me know what you think, I always appreciate comments.

Cartridge: Life's a beach Paper: SU dsp, SU baja breeze buttons: SU Stamps: "so swirly" Jumbo Wheel with baja breeze ink
I started heavily on scrapbooking on March 27, since then I have done 107 pages. I will post more. Some are just slapped on because I lack motivation because I cut around the objects. It's hard to put your "all" into a LO that has sucky pics!!!
