Snake Cake

The order was a snake cake for a 6 year old.  Silly me I was thinking something cute.  I sent over some ideas for them to look at.  Griffin chose the life like snake.  I made the snake using the cake pop recipe, then covered it in fondant. Which I textured, and painted different colors.  I put the snake in the mud and dirt, and rocks all around.  Anyway, this little boy was super happy to see his cake when they picked it up.  Thanks Crystal for referring them.

Halloween Pumpkins

I love Halloween!!  Every year, for the past 7 or 8 years it has been our tradition to trick or treat with Jake and Kandi.  These are the treats I took over.    Pumpkin Chocolate Chip mini bundt cakes. Then you just dip them in orange icing (mine was a little this time) and decorate with a stem and leaves.  These little goodies are always a hit for fall.   They are cute and delicious, what more could you ask for?

I

Recipe:
1/2 Cup brown sugar
2 Tbs butter
mix together, and set aside.

3C flour
1 Tbs Cinnamon
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
Combine in medium bowl.

2 C sugar
1 c butter
 4 eggs
Beat sugar and butter together until light and fluffy. Then add eggs one at a time.
Then add remaining ingredients.
1 C pumpkin
2 tsp vanilla
1 C choc chips

Assembly in mini bundt pan, fill 1/2 with batter then sprinkle with brown sugar mixture, then fill with batter again.  Bake for 30 minutes at 350.

I hope to get to enjoy this deliciousness soon!!!

Happy Thanksgiving BBB

BBB is Big Brother Bill! He is actually my only brother.  I only get to see him occasionally, as with any family that is out of state.   He's in Vegas and I really miss him sometimes. Anyway I love you my Big Brother Bill! Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I am not exactly sure where I got this image, I've had for so long.  I do know that it's colored with copics. The bling is from SU and glued on with Tombow multi purpose glue.  I love that stuff. I added some sparkly to the tail feathers with my perfect pearls.

hope you have a fantastic day.....thank you for stopping by.

Pictures from High School

I was cleaning out my hope chest, and found these old gems. Some pictures I drew in high school. I wonder if I could still draw. Lately I just stamp it's a lot quicker. I completely forgot all about these. Holy crap memories.

Thanks for strolling down memory lane with me today. Take care. Photobucket

Bradon's 18th Bday

I made

I made this card for sons 18th birthday.  Like most of us with kids, I really don't understand where the years have gone.  I am very proud of him, he is a good kid, and pretty darn handsome too.

I used the Cricut to cut out the star (George Font) , 18,(Ashlynn's Alphabet) and phrase (Sweet Treats) For the background i used the shaving cream technique. With SU colors: Pacific Point, Crumb Cake, & Chery Cobbler.  After cutting everything out, I adhered the 18 to the star, and used some iridescent ice from SU to make it all sparkle. I also threw some star brads on.

Happy Birthday WENDY!!!!

I racked my brain forever trying to think of cake I could do for my besties bday. I knew I wanted to make purple roses, from there I didn't have a clue. This is what I came up, I think it turned out pretty. I am a little rusty on my roses, I will have to do some practice.

Over the Hill Cake

Ok, this is the cake I made for my Nephew's 40th bday. His wife said she was doing an over the hill theme. I thought I have a tomb stone cake pan and the black roses would be perfect.

The stone is made from fondant~ up close and in person, it looked like marble, pretty cool effect for a a tomb stone.  :)
The black roses are made from gum paste.
You can see the marble effect better in the picture below.

Naaaaa

I love it when the client calls and gives you a general theme, then the creativity is up to you. I found a similar cake on google, and made my own rendition. I really enjoyed making this cake. My kids watched my every step, telling me how cool it was. That made me feel pretty good. I love how it turned out! If you would like to order a cake from me please let me know. Thanks!

Haha, the beginning of the horse!
