Minnie Mouse

Some say this little girl is lucky to get such cool cakes! I feel lucky that I have been able to make all 3 of her birthday cakes. She is always so excited. Which makes it all the more special to make them for her.  She's been on a Minnie Mouse kick lately.  That is all she ever wants to color.  Of course when she plays pretend, she plays Elsa & Anna, (that is so last year) literally.

Aloha

This time I got to make a cake for the mom! I have watched her little man for several years. This year she turned 40! Her husband threw her a surprise party. Glad I could contribute to the affair by making her celebration cake for her. Even the coconut lime cupcakes received rave reviews.

Airplane Card

So my little boy turns 21 TODAY!  This is the first year in all 21, that we haven't spent it together.  Not to mention I did't get to make him a cake.  He works in Florida.  At least he got his card today.  I will have to make him a cake when he comes home to visit.  I love you so much Bradon and I miss you.

Airplane Cake

I love making cute little smash cakes.  Funny how most order chocolate for a first birthday.  Probably because they've waited an entire year to share such a delectable dessert, may as well choose the best flavor.  My favorite is with Oreo cream frosting in the middle.  This was made a little man turning one year old.  My pleasure to make it, I hope it helped make his first birthday spectacular.

Butterflies and Easter Eggs

Another coloring book image I snatched off the internet.  I made two of these.  One for my brother in Vegas.  I don't get to see him very often, so I send a little love via snail mail.   The other for my favorite aunt and uncle. I want them to know that I love them, and am thinking about them.

I used some Dazzling Diamonds on the eggs, to make them glimmer!  I love coloring at night while I'm hanging with the family watching TV  right now we are watching "The Originals".  I also used Splitcoast Stampers for some inspiration to put the card together. I had a pretty fun day putting my Easter cards together.  Thanks for stopping by, have great day!

Headless Horseman

The Headless Horseman is my favorite Halloween character.   Looking at this picture right now, I see an eye and mouth of an older gentleman.  I am not sure if anyone else can see this .  This was for a Halloween party that we were invited to.  It was a hit.  Kind of creepy in a cool way,  I think.

Date Night

Wonderful bridal shower cake.  The peacocks are stamped on the fondant with edible ink.
The silhouettes around the cake are cut out, and represent the steps of dating to engagement.
The turquoise fondant has been imprinted with swirls.
Three different flavors so everyone would be happy.

Pokemon

Here are a couple Pokemon cakes that I have made.  The top one is more difficult.  The bottom one pretty simple.  They are both chocolate flavor and delicious.

Kelsy's Kitty

Kelsey is my best friends daughter, and she loves kitties.  Her mom held her dinner at a restaurant.  It was fun to take the cake to the dinner party and surprise her with it.   She likes anything fruity, I chose cherry chip.  That flavor is very delicious, it's almond with delicious cherry drops in it.  I think Pink and black have a classic elegant look to it.  Thanks for stopping by.

Ozzy Cake

Riley has been doing School of Rock for a couple years now, and loves it. Her current obsession is Ozzy! She's so lucky she got to perform with the School of Rock in the Ozzy show. Riley thought it would be fun to do a tribute to Ozzy birthday party.  The guitar is molded white chocolate.  The cupcakes have cut out music notes.  (that I cut out)  The pictures of Ozzy are printed on edible paper. Her favorite flavor is vanilla, so the cake is vanilla.  The cupcakes are chocolate, because I was craving chocolate that day.  Happy Birthday Riley~ I love you!

Little Mermaid

Quit a bit of detail in this cake. Under the sea ones are so incredible. I had the pleasure of making this Little Mermaid cake for a client. I may have gotten a little carried away with the decor. It was appreciated though.  The characters were purchased.  Everything else is edible.  A few extra layers of blue really add to the water effect.

Jungle Baby Shower Cake

PhotobucketI have been making cakes for over 20 years, and I have never done this...... I woke up this morning, laid in bed, and thought how nice it was to lay here and not have anything pressing to get done today.  How strange I felt.  Browsing through FB I got a text.  "good morning, is the cake ready for pick up?"  Talk about panic!  I was honest. I put the event on the wrong date. I hadn't even started on this masterpiece.  We decided I had until 2:00 to get it done.  Oh my goodness, did I ever hustle.  I am quit pleased with how it turned out.  It's for a little girl to be.  I even got the cupcakes done to match.  The monkey was giving me grief.  After 4 attempts, and not acquiring cuteness. I opted to move on.  After I finished the other animals, I remembered about a monkey mold I had.  Yes, I cheated, and they are adorable.  The top layer is cherry chip, the bottom layer is kaluha all frosted in buttercream then completed with fondant, gum paste, and more buttercream decor.

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a great day!
