Kaylie's Monster High Cake

Happy Birthday Kaylie!!!!

Kaylie is my girlfriends daughter, and she's going to be celebrating her 8th birthday.  She loved my daughters Monster High party so much that she wanted to have her own. These two besties are also planning on dressing as Monster High chicks for Halloween. Stay tuned for those pics. Of course I didn’t want to do the same cake for Kaylie. I have been thinking about ideas for a couple weeks now. Tomorrow is the party LOL, I guess it’s time to quit thinking and start creating! Ya know when you have an idea in your mind, but can’t quite get it out? That’s where I am stuck at right now! I did decide the shape of the cake and baked them. At least I got a start, right! We had a lot of fun.  Kaylie watched me make it almost the entire time~ telling me how cool I was.  That makes anyone feel good.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my project, hope your day is amazing. Photobucket

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

I had an excellent birthday this year, thanks to my bestie and my boyfriend. They threw a surprise party for me. I've never had a surprise party, and haven't had a party thrown for me since I was a little girl. Don't get me wrong I've always celebrated my birthday~ it's just usually going out to dinner or a bbq, and I usually play a big part in planning it. So this was great, my kids were even in on it, those little devils.

Moab, UT May 25-28 2012

This is one of the three scrapbook pages I did for our Moab trip. I had never been there before this year. This was the first time I met Jason and his family. They are awesome, I might add. We had a lot of fun getting to know each other!
I used to create this page. I love how easy it is! They keep their layouts fresh too, so you don't use the same stuff over and over.  If you haven't tried it~ might I suggest that you check it out.
Dipping my foot in the Colorado river.
As Eeyore would say......"It's a blustery day"
Jason, Riley, and I in front at Moab.
Saying goodbye to our camp spot, and the river.

2011 Scrapbook Pages

I have been really limited on time since my basement flooded. It's kinda hard being a single mom of 4 (one in Florida), working full time, laundry, cleaning, etc. etc. and trying to get my house put back together, after having 2 inches of water. We had to cut out all the sheet rock about 18" high, rip out all the carpet, molding. Then after the demo work is done, it's time to rebuild. I am not a contractor, but I sure am pretending to be. I have done most of the work myself. My boys have helped, as well as a couple really good friends (Kandi and Wendy). I think it looks pretty good. Anyway, point to my story, my Scrap booking is done mainly using "". Give them a try, it's a really fast and fun way to Scrapbook. I still have a lot of work to get done in the basement, but my boys have their rooms and bathroom back. YAY!!!!
Shelby's 21st Birthday. He's the one that is going to school in Floriday.
My daughters Wizard of Oz birthday.
This is my new puppy.  I've had dobberman pincers for the last 20 years,
it was time to get another.
Here are some pictures of my dad's 80th birthday party.
It was great to celebrate this with him.
 Sheldon's Birthday party.

And here are some pictures of us working on the basement.
 Bradon's 17th Birthday party

One of the best Christmases I've had in a long time.  Spent it with my bestie, her kids, and my dad  in the am.  Then she and I went out to dinner together, topped the night off with some cocktails and dance central.

Cruz's Super Hero Party

This is the little Monkey, and it is his 4th birthday.  He was having a super hero themed party.  My favorite superhero is Batman.  So I made this Batman box, for him, and filled it with candy.  The card is just a regular super hero guy, but still cute.  Then I also made him a batman mask.  My first try at the batman mask, was huge.  So I scaled it down a little to fit.  Doesn't he look ferocious??? :)

Cricut-batman cartridge, cut at 9" used SU colors, pacific blue,
more mustard, black, and real red.
This is birthday card.  Was gonna make a batman card to match.  But I think this guy is cuter, especially for a 4 yr old.  Cricut-Paperdolls dressup.
Another project using the Cricut-Batman Cartridge

Hope you have an awesome day!

Six Months for You and Me

Six months ago yesterday, I went on a first date (or interview as I call it). I am happy to say that this man has stuck around! I’m a leo, so need I even say that I am stubborn? He is great for me, an inspiration to be a better person. I wanted to make him this card to let him know how much he means to me.

I used the Cricut-Sweehearts cartridge, everything is cut at 3”, except the lettering, it’s cut at 1 ½”. I also used some valentine paper that I’ve had lying around. SU-dazzling diamonds on the hearts and the lettering, adhered with SU-2 way glue. Gotta love some bling, bling, they are also from SU. Of course I wrote some mushy stuff on the inside. LOL Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by! ~ Photobucket

Summer Time Livin'

This is a perfect summer time cake! Fun to make! Check out the beer cans in his hand and the ones in the grass. I thought I was pretty funny. The recipient loved it! I always love to see Crystals face when she pick up her cakes. She's so cute and appreciative.

Have a wonderful day~ thanks so much for taking time to stop by! Photobucket

M&M Cake

"My son loves M&M's especially the red ones, can you make one?" I absolutely loved making this cake.  I guess this little 10 year who the cake was made for walks around singing "I'm sexy & I know it"  so that phrase had to be part of the cake too.  The inside is of course Chocolate.  YUUUUM! My favorite flavor.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.....Hope you have a great day, full of creativity!!!!
