Love Birds (Just Buggin' #24)

Challenge #24: 3D, Make a three dimensional project using your Cricut machine.

So I looked at the Just buggin' challenge first thing this morning. Then the email came in from Splitcoast Stampers with this "folded paper frame" tutorial. The frame looked great to make a 3-D project with. These little love birds are so stinkin' cute too. I used the paper punch to make the border. It is hanging from 3/8" celery ribbon. This was a very fun project to make and turned out cuter than I thought it would. TFL Have a great day. Cartridge: I used was sweethearts. Paper: DSP-some retired SU!, Chocolate Chip Accessories: Brads I picked up from Oriental trading

Quick and Easy

These are just some quick and easy cards I made while playing around with my toys.

Pick a Petal

This is one of those sets that you don't really know about unitl you start playing with it. But is actually a really awesome set. Very versatile. I saw the turkey online and had to try it. It turned out ok, but I think I want to try it with some different colors.

On Board with Chipboard

Okay--Today was my play date with Chipboard. There are some pretty creative ideas out there. Sister card: The background is done with stencil after you remove the chipboard. I just vaigated the colors. Then attached the big flower to the card. Ocean card: Colored the pieces with 'craft ink'. The craft ink really makes the colors pop. I am going to redo the ladybug card with the craft pad rather than the classic pad, then the red will vibrant. Which I think will be cute. We all know ladybugs are my thing.

Wonderful Butterfly

This was made for our workshop in October. I have some new people, they are the best. It is a challenge to make something for the advanced stamper as well the newbies. I think this project does a pretty good job. We embossed the butterfly with white then bleached it out. A couple punches the tricky bow and some pearls. We used the iridescent ice on the pink (from bella rose) so in the real world it sparkles. We did emboss the wonderful on the bottom. The background is basic gray, the pink is trimmed with ivory.

Amazing Daddy

I made this card for my amazing daddy. I used the crackle background stamp with moss, then stamped the little flower from 'pretty amazing' over top. The paper is SU designer from 07. I colored in the hummingbird with chalk, and put iridesent ice over the top of front piece. It sparkles in person. I am working on my photo skills so maybe I can retake this one. Thanks for looking at this one.

Glad You're Mine

I embossed with the cuttle bug, I think it matches really well with the stem on this flower. The paper I used was bordering blue, summer sun, white. For the inks I used tangerine tango, summer sun, riding hood red, bordering blue, bashful blue, basic gray to stamp the outline of the flower.

Loving Lilac

Oh sooooo many new toys to play with out of this caty. The scallop punch is a must have! And I love this hostess set "best yet" it has perfect sayings.... That flower is a bugger to line up though.

Lonely

This was my last card of the day with this set anyway--Had a blast. Thanks for looking. I think the funest part was stamping on the ribbon, it really added a special zing. The colors used are Basic gray, craft white, old olive, very vanilla ribon. With a little hardware at the bottom. The card is a 5 1/4 x 5 1/4.

Priceless Butterflies

Technique Junkie at work here I used white paper and made the faux tile using a score blade. Then used the sponge brayer over with pale plum rolled over and filling in the 'grout'. Then I stamped the darker images over the top. The colors I used are rose red, pale plum, ruby red, mustard. You can barely see the grout lines, so when we do this in person you will better appreciate it. Isn't this set fun though "priceless" .

Dancin' Bug

Tilt Card Technique Really very cute. The little ladybug shakes. Used Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, and white, Very Vanilla grosgrain ribbon.

Best Is Yet To Be

The day I stamped this I had just gotten "Flower Fancy" from the men in brown. Since it is die cut I imediately put it together and made a few sample cards. For this one I used baja breeze and chocolate chip. Which really maked the craft white pad stand out. I embossed the flower. Some bleaching would look really cool, so I might try that. I also used my square punch to cut out a block then stamped the phrase behind. Tied some chocolate tafeta ribbon around. Guess what else I got that day----yep my prettiest kit, so there you see it. The first thing I ever did with the kit. The scallop around the edges was done with 3- scallop circles, you basically cut out the center so it makes one string, then wrap it around your cardstock.

Groovy Tulip

I used the direct ot paper technique to do the background. Garden Whimsy set. The colors I used were Groovy Guava, white, Sage Shadow. and Groovy guava ribbon. The tulip I used the rock n roll technique using cameo coral, and guave. My favorited word set I used was Wonderful Favorites. This set is really awesome. It has sister, bro, aunt, etc. so it is great for scrapbooking.

Simple Birthday Wishes

Okay, I cased this one. I loved it so much. Really fun, simple and fast to make. Using only the "classic star" wheel and the punch to match. Oh yea and a little ribbon!

To you from me!
