Sooted Forest

I used the soot technique to make this card.
LOL it was a while ago, but hey, everything is still current.

I used a candle to soot the back, then stamped it with the
woodgrain, then with the Lovely as a Tree set.
Just a fun easy card to make.

Glittering Dasher

I am pretty excited ... I get to meet with my girls tonight. It is Stampin' Up! club time. This is the card we are going to make. I was racking my brain this month. I wanted something so cool. Yet pretty simple. Since the class is on acetate & tissue technique I did a lot of the prep work before the party. (you ladies better appreciate it LOL)

I have also made a tutorial here for you to watch. Hope you enjoy your day today. And get at least one fun thing. Take Care!! Photobucket

Lovely Greetings

Every year my sister takes cards to work to sell for me. This is one of the ones I created for her to take. I just can't help but think about Christmas and a beautiful winters day when I look at this set. This card was stamped on kraft white. First I rolled the entire cardstock with the speckle wheel. Then I made an oval stencil. Lightly sponged it in perfect plum, used the enfrancais to stamp over in perfect plum as well. I them stamped the trees from lovely as a tree using sage shadown. The Greeting is embossed in gold.

Spring Card

Start by cutting the base for your card. Here I used chocolate chip. Cut to 10 1/2 x 5 1/4. Then fold the card stock in half making a 5 1/4 square. Open paper. Now fold the bottom side up to the center. As shown, creating a quarter fold.. Keep quarter fold on right, pull left bottom corner until it is even with the quarter crease. Open. And fold top left had corner down to quarter fold. Turn paper, now the quarter fold is on the left. Mark the center of the top. The sides are already marked with creases. Draw a line from the mark you made to the creases. These are the cutting lines. Now cut along the lines you drew. This will create a point. Apply a glue dot to the corner so it will stand up correctly. And finish the card. This is the one also featured in the cracked glass spotlight. I used "lovely as a tree" really rust, old olive, and close to cocoa. This card fits nicely in a 5 1/2 square envelope, and is really fun to recieve.

Cracked Glass

So I have my image prepared. I used really rust, old olive, close to cocoa, and sponged the color for the background. Next you will apply versamark liberaly to the top of your image. Then place image in your powder pal. Shake on the glassy glaze enamel (from Stampin' Up!) use your heat gun to set it. It takes 3 coats, to get the glass look. This is how it looks after the first coat. Look at the arrow, it shows how bubbly it is. So don't worry you have 2 more coats to go. Okay, once again apply versa mark, and Glassy glaze enamel. Heat set. And repeat one more time. You now have a very glassy like finish on your picture. Allow the enamel to cool completly. (good time for a tea break) When you come back the enamel is very stiff, when you fold it backwards it will crack. Then you can finish your card. This card I used "snow swirled" colors were bashful blue, almost amethyst, so saffron. I added a rhinestone to the middle for accent. Hope you like it, and yours turns out well. Don't get discouraged it takes a bit of practice.

Let it Snow

I did this shaker just to see if I could. I used the "Lovely as a Tree" set, and "Snowflake Spot" I also used the 'reflection' technique to make it look like the trees were by a lake. I sponged in the background leaving a big winter moon.
I also carefully embossed some snowflakes on the acetate sheet in front with iridescent ice.

A Walk in the Moonlight

The sets are "Yukon", and "Lovely as a Tree" Took me a few times to get this right but I like how this turned out.

Lovely Reflection

This is the reflection technique-which for those of you in my group is coming soon. "Lovely as a Tree" is the set that I used.

Jolene's Baby shower

These are some sample cards I made for my niece, Jolene, for her baby shower. We chose the first one. Then a bunch of us got together and made them. I used the Cricut to cut the tree and sky oval. An old bear set was used for the little bear. Used the cuttlebug to emboss the squares on the back.
