Ornaments 2008

A really cool paper ornament. I think we are going to do this for my sons class, as well as my stamp camp!!!
Those old CD's are usefull for something. Add some paper and glitz and you have a great tree decoration.
Scallop paper punch ornament. Pretty easy, the hard part is getting it even, which mine is not. Oh well, maybe my next one.
This one I think turned out b-e-a-utiful. I really like the sparkly spray.
This is a styrofoam ball that I have had laying around. I decided to spice it up a bit. Adding some stamped tissue paper and some beads from the "prettiest kit" I also sprayed it with glitter.
This is a very plain ceramic ornament. You just stamp it with StazOn ink, then apply
heat and stick set it with heat tool. Then apply dazzling diamonds, heat once again. Then there you go a beautiful ornaments. You could add other decorations around it. I will eventually put a picture in this one.
This is one right out of the Stampin' Up! book--Had to try though.
Sparkly ones, these seem to be a favorite. Really fun do, even with the kids.
Thanks for looking!

For a Friend

A card I made my friends birthday last year. I used the "time well spent" set. For background I used glossy cardstock, embossed it, then sponged color all ver. I watercolored the flowers, cut them all out and glued some flat, raised others. I put diamonds everywhere. It really was a beautiful card. TFL

October Swap Challenges 2008

This is Octobers 2008 Swap Challenge. We used the Sketch Challenge #60 from Split Coast Stampers as our inspiration. No penalties for not using, but it is fun to see what everyone comes up with. Thanks for playing the game.

Ducks for Baby

I got into quilling for a minute. I made this card I thought it looked pretty cute. I still quilling but staming has kicked it to the back burner.

Let it Snow

I did this shaker just to see if I could. I used the "Lovely as a Tree" set, and "Snowflake Spot" I also used the 'reflection' technique to make it look like the trees were by a lake. I sponged in the background leaving a big winter moon.
I also carefully embossed some snowflakes on the acetate sheet in front with iridescent ice.

Snow Flurries

This card is my attempt at the Shadow Box Card card. I like how it turned out. "Snowflake Spot" was the stamp set I used. I am glad that the embossing showed up on the pic. It is silver. The cardstock color I used was bordering blue. I seem gravitate to that color when it comes to Christmas Cards.

Bouncing Snowflake

I used the Bouncing Brayer technique on this card. I used one of spectrum pads, that I filled in my own colors. They go like this--Ballet Blue, Bashful Blue, Almost Amethyst, Bashful Blue, & Ballet Blue (again). Used the "Snowflake Spot" In black stazon ontop of glossy cardstock. Then set it on a black background, and then on Ballet Blue.

Classy Poinsettia

This is a stamp I picked up at the dollar store. I used Poppin' Pearls it's kind of like poppin' pastels. The paper I used was: first craft stamped with handsome hunter and the canvas stamp, the next layer is handsome hunter stamped with seasons greetings in gold. Then a dark red mulberry paper. The top layer is my poinsettia. Added the ribbon and a cirlce clip. I attached it all on white cardstock. I sold many of these cards to some coworkers of my sister. If you use this technique in scrapbooks, be sure to seal it with an archival safe spray, otherwise any spray will work-even hairspray in a pinch.

Spooks for Halloween

Wet paper watercoloring. We did this at my October workshops. I am also planning on using this for my sons party. I know it's in the new catty, but I just had to try it. Turned out pretty good I thought.

Down by the Ol' Watermill

I bought this set "watermill" back in 2005 out of a mini catalog. I fell in love with it. I made this card about two years ago, for a trade group I was in. So some of you have seen it. I used mostly real red and chocolate chip. I had also just gotten my oval cutter kit form CM.

Craft Pad Creations

I hadn't really played that much with the craft pads. But I have so many customers asking me to explain the difference between the classic colors and the craft pads. This look is one of favorite things you can do. The craft pads also makes embossing easy and very colorful. Now I am in love with these pads, I will definitely be buying them. Before I only had a couple colors. I made the wings using "pick a petal" I stamped the wing outline on vellum with orchid opulence, then embossed with iridescent ice.

Hummingbird

I saw this technique on the web somewhere. I can't remember what the technique was. But it turns out some beautiful cards.

A Walk in the Moonlight

The sets are "Yukon", and "Lovely as a Tree" Took me a few times to get this right but I like how this turned out.

Glitterized

My sister bought this set on line, she came over to show it to me. So I talked her into letting me borrow it to make some stuff. This is one of the cards I made. I love this flower, which it was still around.

Lovely Reflection

This is the reflection technique-which for those of you in my group is coming soon. "Lovely as a Tree" is the set that I used.
