Elegant Swirls 08
Another card using the "snow swirled" and embossing with silver on basic gray. Then I used elegant eggplant as the back paper. Direct paper technique to add some silver on the back. Tied some silver cord just for character around the front. If you're looking for easy yet pretty this is an idea.

Dainty Blizzard 08
This is an embossing technique. Actually the one I am going to do at my workshops in November. Anyway I can't give away too many secrets but you use vellum. I don't know if this technique has a name yet. I am sure someone has named it though. We'll call it vellum embossing. Actually, I have been asked to reveal the secret, so I will. Very easy to do. Very stunning.
1-Using Stazon white stamp your image on vellum, allow to dry.
2-Turn your vellum piece over onto a mouse pad type surface. Using your embossing stylus outline your image. Then sponge color over on top with classic or craft ink. I used bordering blue, to match my background paper.
3-Turn you vellum back over (now the stamped side is up, and the embossing is popping out, the color is behind) and finish your card.
I used the scallop punch on the vellum, then poked the bottom giving it a lacy look. Then tied a bashful blue ribbon to the top, stamped the phrase in Stazon Black. Then adhered it to my bordering blue cardstock. I didn't dry emboss all of the snowflakes just some for character. Thanks for the praise and comments on this card.

Baroque Brithday
I used the score blade for the faux linen. Then stamped in burgandy for the background. That is really a fun technique. This was the first time I have tried it. For the center stamp I used the rock n roll technique. With creamy caramel, and burgandy.

I have a nephew that I also babysit. Ever since he was born-he has been a dinosaur to me. (he is only 2) Anyway this is for his third birthday. I always get him something dinosaur. (His birthday isn't until June-so I am really prepared) This was also the first project I did with the cricut markers. They work really well, just draw and then cut!

Okay, I cased this one. I loved it so much. Really fun, simple and fast to make. Using only the "classic star" wheel and the punch to match. Oh yea and a little ribbon!

Magic Hippo
This one I made for my best friends daughter (my niece) She just turned one. I thought the Magic Card would entertain her. And the Hippo is adorable. I love these magic cards. My 18 yr old son was awed! I was pretty flattered at the birthday party the guys were checkin' my card more than the ladies. (I guess all the moving parts.) You guys in my groups will love learning this technique it is on the agenda!

Redneck Wishes
This card was really a lot of fun to make. I love how the Faux stitching bring out the card. It also has two of my favorite colors. Turquoise, and Pixie Pink. My family does a lot of camping so I can use this card in varied colors, for both my side and my husbands.
Hot Pink Birthday Wishes
The colors I used are: pink passion, celery, apricot.
the technique is the "hot card" check it out on Splitcoast Stampers. These cards are pretty fun to make. As a matter of fact it's the only time I use my iron.

Kid Camp for Valentines 2008

is a valentine kid camp. We made enough goodis for all the kids, a bag to hold it all in, and gather new ones, also a jar for the teacher. The kids really had a great time doing these, and I hear the teacher thought they were very clever!
