This is an embossing technique. Actually the one I am going to do at my workshops in November. Anyway I can't give away too many secrets but you use vellum. I don't know if this technique has a name yet. I am sure someone has named it though. We'll call it vellum embossing. Actually, I have been asked to reveal the secret, so I will. Very easy to do. Very stunning.
1-Using Stazon white stamp your image on vellum, allow to dry.
2-Turn your vellum piece over onto a mouse pad type surface. Using your embossing stylus outline your image. Then sponge color over on top with classic or craft ink. I used bordering blue, to match my background paper.
3-Turn you vellum back over (now the stamped side is up, and the embossing is popping out, the color is behind) and finish your card.
I used the scallop punch on the vellum, then poked the bottom giving it a lacy look. Then tied a bashful blue ribbon to the top, stamped the phrase in Stazon Black. Then adhered it to my bordering blue cardstock. I didn't dry emboss all of the snowflakes just some for character. Thanks for the praise and comments on this card.
