Blue Wedding Bliss

Blue Wedding Bliss
I had a lot of plans over this last week end. One of which included a wedding! So I had to make a quick card--but I wanted it to be personal and elegant. I used my computer to print on the card. I was very impressed with myself-because I got it to print where I wanted it the first time.
The heart is from home decor. The background is rolled with SU very vintage I later learned that their wedding colors were brown and pink. If only I'd a known, oh well right. Thank you for stopping in today. Hope you a great one in store for you!

Star Spangles #16

Challenge #16 Independence day Theme with a Star shape: Create a 4th of July project adding a star shape somewhere on your project.
Enter your project here! Fantabulous Cricut and what great prizes you could win.
I definitely think I fulfilled the star requirement. The box is cut from sweet treats. The stamps on the box are from SU 4th of July colors: real red, yoyo yellow, and
The boy is cut from a child's first year.
I haven't made actual "decorated" cookies for quit a while. Who am I kidding--it's been years, since I have taken the time to decorate cookies. I love this technique. You can see a glimpse of the tissue paper in the back. I used my su star wheel to roll it with. My kids were very excited to see this, and get to eat some pretty cookies. Instead of just plain ol' chocolate chip. Cute what makes kids feel loved isn't it! :) Have a wonderful day, take care and see you soon.

Silly Celebration

This is silly billy from High Hopes stamps. I am not much of a clown person, but he is irresistible. I used lovely lilac to roll the background with the party wheel from SU! (and oldie but a goodie). I haven't played with this wheel for a long time, I forgot how fun it is. I do have one busy day scheduled today. A birthday, which this card is not for. A wedding reception for one of my neighbors from my old hood, LOL. Hard to believe I move away, and all their kids grow up. After that we have a party to go to. With a "white trash" theme. I find that ironic, a wedding and then trash. Ok, well thanks for stopping by..... What ever you do today-I hope your day is fun and safe.

Palisades 2009

Summer camping trip to Palisades 2009
Used campout to cut the froggy. On the picture I used Paint.net to add wording to it, before I printed it. I am sure it has been done before. But I thought I was quit ingenious. teehee
The background is on white cardstock rolled with the SU Very Vintage wheel in Tangerine Tango. Trimmed with some Tango paper, that has been stamped with another one of sets from 1997 Desert Scapes.
The motorhome is cut from Early Espresso, and Baja Breeze. Aren't those colors just wonderful together!!!! They just make me all tingly.
A little cord brad I picked up somewhere.
Keep scrappin' ~Sharon

King of the Grill-bday

Good morning! This is the card we did at my last workshop. I love this happy griller. SU hasn't had "cute" for a while, let a lone "cute" and masculine.
Colors: summer sun, really rust, always artichoke ~paper and ink
I embossed the grill king guy! So he would be nice and dark. Then colored the picture in with my SU! markers. ~really rust, always artichoke, basic gray, bashful blue, summer sun, sahara sand. The ribbon is always artichoke. This turned out to be a fun card, to make. I hope everyone enjoyed making them. It was fun to get together with the girls. I always have fun with them.

Dear Daddy

With all the families involved in our lives now. We are celebrating my dad tonight. My sister, and I are going to make some chicken fajitas on the barbie. So I thought I would share the card I made for my dad today. My dad is fishing all the way. So I immediately thought of this set.
Again practicing my photo skills.
I embossed the image with black, then colored with these Copics: E25, E47, E11,E33, YG33, YG95, C3, R88, & RO2
The background is on creamy caramel rolled with the speckle wheel rolled in always artichoke. The fly's are stamped in early espresso. The phrase is SU Sincere Salutations. I added a big brad, and some tafeta ribbon to finish if off. Thanks for stopping by, have a terrific day!!

Drinking of you

Fathers day is rapidly approaching , OMG! I made this card for my second dad. Just to let him know I am thinking of him. Or "drinking of him" teehee. I got it in the mail Thursday so hopefully he gets it in time. This is really a perfect set to use for him. He like his drinks. The set is called 100% party time and I picked up over at Scent My Cards. Great place to grab some copics too. Which is what this card it colored with. The orange is SU tart and tangy.
I was playing a little with my photography skills (what do you think?) My son said it looked like a magazine. :) Hey I'll I take the compliment!
The paper is from SU DSP- Island Oasis I love these umbrellas, Also used Rose Red, and old olive. I used the rock and roll technique on the orange with tangerine tango and pumpkin pie. The rim is sugared with crystal effects and chunky glitter. I used my ovals from Creative Memories. This card was really fun, mostly I think it was because I kept picturing Gary's face when he opened it. Have a wonderful day!!! Thanks so much for stopping, I do enjoy the company. :)

Kasey & Anthony

Wedding Wishes

Ok, how do explain the relationship of this plaque????LOL My son has this girl that he dates (when they get along) Anyway, she came over Friday night, I need to mention it was after my Stamp Party, so about 11pm. She wanted me to cute some vinyl for her. My little girl (8) was not feeling good, and wanted me to hold her, my kitchen in a state of disaster (that can wait though - right) Thank goodness for my design studio. I took my laptop to bed and held my baby, then after she fell asleep ~ I went and cut out the vinyl. Shanice painted the plaque-antique ivory, and let it dry over night. In the morning she put it together. I painted the edge, stamped some swirls, and colored the hearts. Tada wedding gift complete, 30 minutes before the wedding. Cartridge: Cursive 101 Home Decor Hearts are colored with Copics Stamp set: Baroque motifs stamped in "Crumb Cake" Thanks for stopping by today!

#14 Celebrate Dear Dad

Fantabulous Cricut challenge #14 is to CELEBRATE DAD No problem with that one, I love my daddy.
So I scrap booked a page about him.
That little B&W pic is my dad as a baby. 1931, such a long time ago. There is one of him holding me, my dad's tattoos, his two favorite hobbies which is fishing and hunting. The only my dad got sick, and couldn't go to work was deer season. :) My dad comes over to visit me and the kids, with a bag of cookies. The kids get very excited to have oreos and milk with their gpa. This was a very emotional LO for me to put together. It is so hard seeing my dad get older. *sniff sniff* Ok- recipe I used a child's year for the fishing boy, and the lettering. Also used my copic trick to add the right color to my flowers. The swirly thingys are from Home De'cor, I love swirly thingys on anything, they seem to add just he right touch. don't you think? SU paper, chocolate chip, and some misc. stuff I had.
Well there is a close up of pg 2, you can see it tats much better. The lion was always my favorite. He is a Leo, so I think that is why he got that one.

Page one of my layout shows my dad as a baby, then getting older. Be sure and join us this week for our Fantabulous Cricut challenge. See you soon!!!!

I added dazzling diamonds to her bow and the flower. The butterflies are vellum that I used the beautiful wings embosslit from SU to cut them out. The phrase is just a misc stamp. Thanks for stopping by today. *smiles

FCCB #13 for the bride

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge #13 FOR THE BRIDE

I know - simple card. But sometimes those are the best. I used the stretch your imagination cartridge, with the card setting and cut off the front, tied on some ribbon (bashful blue), attached a heart brad. The paper is some retired SU (that would be old right). I embossed the area behind the bride and groom. Then threw it all together. I thought I would share though. today's moto Keep it simple

I Got a Cricut Cake Machine!!!!!

I am sooo excited...I got a Cricut Cake on Friday for my birthday. tee hee my birthday isn't until August. It was on a good sale, so my wonderful BF got it for me. Yes, I know I am spoiled, but I thoroughly enjoy it, ~and I am so worth it =) ha ha! Along with the Cricut Cake, I got the sweet treats cartridge. These boxes were the first things I made, one with a 2 and the other with a 4. Both for my cute nephews. I was trying to think of something fun I could fill the boxes with, all I was coming up with was a bag of candy. I had one of those miraculous early morning creative revolutions (at 2:20 am), I thought that cookies would cute in them. AND I could use my cake! Oh the beginnings of a happy day. "Now go back to sleep until a normal hour. "

So this is my box--I used SU "birthday party" simply scrappin' kit, for both boxes.
As you are looking at these remember this is my first attempt, so please...be gentle...
The first thing I tried to cut was some cookie dough, No, I can't start with the typical stuff. But the dough has to be too thin, and the recipe didn't work very well. blah blah blah, (I'll try this another day) on to the gum paste. I used the cake basics that came with it, and started cutting some shapes.
Then moved onto mickey and friends to cut out the car, airplane, and train. The beautiful thing about kids, is they are not picky, and they think you are so cool. The mom sent me a text the next morning..."Max is eating one of his cookies, she tells him Aunt Sharon makes the best cookies, and cakes. He says and the best pancakes." I just love that boy! This is for my other nephew. I am anxious to try making some more. They were fun. Thanks for looking! Enjoy your day.
