SC265 Can't wait for summer
I have done some of the sketch challenges before. However, this is the first one I have done on time. I just got this stamp set yesterday. So I wanted to use it for the challenge. I know the image is very small and the card is very simple. But for some reason I like how it turned out. I used the embossing folders from cuttlebug on my big kick. The colors I used are Close to Cocoa, Garden Green, Rose Red. The phrase is from SU teeny tiny wishes.

Happy Birthday Pardner'
Yesterday was my other dad's birthday. Since I just mailed this off yesterday, I know he will get it late. You see the back of community box has been broken so I had to physically go to the post office. That doesn't happen :) Anyway they finally got it fixed so I was able to drop it in yesterday. Just because it was late doesn't mean there is any less love attached.
Stamps: Kenny from High Hopes
Phrase: just from my computer
Paper: black, chocolate chip, white,
Ink: black and colored pencils, w/ blender pens
Scallop oval punch and small oval punch.
This is a close up of the horse shoes I cut from Everyday paperdolls, they seemed to add just the right touch.
Well it's time for to go russle up some grub-have a great day!!!!

Pasta Just Buggin' #22
Challenge #22 -All About Food
The challenge is to make a food themed project.
Close up of the spaghetti in the strainer. I think it turned supper cool.
The giant fork and noodles. :)
My intentions were to get some pics on here of me and my family making pasta. I got the pasta attachment for my kitchen-aid for Christmas. And we finally tried it out. Oh well you will just have to check back to see when I get them on.
Everything was cut on my cricut from the from my kitchen cartridge. I cut the strainer and noodles at 11 1/2. The fork is a little smaller but I can't remember. I can't wait to get pictures on it. It will looks so much better. Hope your day is wonderful thanks for looking.

JB#21 Monocromatic in Purple
Just Buggin' #21 Monocromatic challenge...I chose shades of purple.
"bonjour"
Cartridge: Ashlynn's Alphabet
Punch: Ticket Corner, Scallop edge
Stamps: Kindness wheel, Wonderful Words
Colors: Elegant Eggplant, Perfect Plum, Lovely Lilac,
Cuttlebug Folder: polka dots
Just Buggin' had a challenge this week to do something monochromatic. I chose shades of purple-as you can see. I also had my own challenge. I got "Ashlyn's Alphabet" for Christmas and had yet to use it. So my challenge was to use this cartridge. Yay! I accomplished both. My idea was with the teapot (3"). Then as I went a long the butterfly(1 1/2") came into play, and I actually like the butterfly better, but hey I did both-so here they are. I hope you guys have as much fun with these challenges as I do. I really love to see what everybody does! And thank you so much for all of your kind comments.

Puppy Love- JB #20
Challenge #20: All About Pets! Make a pet themed project. Think Paper Pups, Animal Kingdom, etc.
My little niece came over the other day-she had on the cutest shirt with a puppy in a basket. Wow I thought what a cute card that would make...and I could use it for this challenge. So I had to make it come to life.
Cartridges: doodlecharms; basket cut at 1.82 x 1.73, flowers and hearts cut at various sizes
sweethearts: puppy cut at 2" phrase cut at 1 1/2"
Colors: ruby red, so saffron, brocade blue, black, white
Embossed with the heart cuttlebug folder, but using my big shot. I slipped the puppy inside of the basket, and put the flowers around it. Quit a bit different from the shirt-but good inspiration.

Please be Mine!
Paper: Kraft Ivory, DSP-sending Love
Ink: pretty in pink, real red, choc chip, sahara sand
Punch: Heart to Heart
Bling: Filigree
Stamps: I {heart} hearts, Holiday Best, French Script
To start this card I stamped on top of the kraft paper with sarah sand using the French Script, then randomly put hearts all over in red, pink, and brown. The phrase is stamped in Choc Chip, and I attached the cut heats to the top, and one on the bottom for cuteness. That filigree brad matches the paper perfectly don't you think?

Special Friend
This is the card I made to go with Ambers framed birds.
I used "George Basic" to cut the frame out, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and the inside at 3 3/4 x 5 just use the convenient pluses to line everything in the middle. Then I used "a child's first year" to cut the little girl out at 3". The background is done with the baby swipe technique, using elegant eggplant, lovely lilac, and pretty in pink. The wheel has "reminisce" engraved in it. This was really a pretty easy card to put together, but I absolutely love how it turned out. I hope she loves it too.

Bless this Nest
This is made for bestest friend. When I seen the birds on the sweethearts set it screamed Amber. So I had to make this for her and her family. To make the background I first used the "friendly words (su) " wheel to roll the background over the top of some craft cardstock with creamy caramel, next I used the speckle wheel and certainly celery to splotch over the top, then sponged over edges and randomly through the picture with chocolate chip. The birds are cut at 5 3/4" from elegant eggplant the leaves and branch at 11 1/2" from certainly celery, and chocolate chip. Phrase is cut at 3". It is all mounted on an 8 x 10 board and framed. So now she is all blessed, TFL

Happy Birthday Kandi JB #18
Just Buggin' challenge # 18 "in the shadows"
The first post of 2010! :) Happy New Year everyone! I hope your year is wonderful!
This weeks challenge was to use the shadow or blackout feature, which I did on both the flower and the butterfly.
Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Black Emboss, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Razzleberry Lemonade, Crushed Curry, Razzle Berry, Chocolate Chip
Bling: Some misc diamonds, silver cord. champagne mist
Cartridge: Home De'cor
Stamp sets: Well Scripted, Priceless, & En Francais
I made this card for one of friends birthdays. She is the one who inspires me to do these challenges with 'Just buggin' so I thought it only fitting that I use the Cricut to honor her birthday. First I stamped the en francais on top of the DSP in chocolate chip, next I stamped the butterfly in razzleberry randomly. I used the eyelet border to cut the crushed curry on the left side, and tied it with a little cord. I cut the flower at 3" and the butterfly at 1 1/2 (I believe) I then used the shimmer paint in champagne to shine up the flower and butterfly. The greeting is embossed in black. I like to emboss because it really makes it stand out. Almost done~ It needed a little bling to make it complete, so I rumaged through my drawers and found some sticky diamonds. Miss KANDI PANTS I hope you have a terriffic Birthday!!!! Luv ya bunches! Thanks for celebrating it with us!! and HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you!
