Sense of Time

I used soot staming for the technique on this card. I love the technique, however it is a bit time consuming. Paper I used was of course glossy, choc chip, summer sun, & really rust. I had a hard time getting this card to photograph well. Not sure who the recipient will be, maybe this is one I will keep =). http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/soot_stamping/ I just got this set a couple days ago, and have been getting onry because I haven't been able to play with it yet. When I seen this set, the first thing I wanted to do was the 'split negative' technique. The colors I used here are chocolate chip, natural white, ridinghood red. I used the craft paper, accented with chocolate chip. Pretty easy card. The clock just gives it such a classic look. I am happy with the way the way the card turned just not the picture. The card is actually basic gray, and creamy caramel. Stamped in basic gray. Not much in accents here, just a very simple card. To keep the simplicity of the set. Brought out my favorite green for this one! Sage Shadow, paired with burgandy, and creamy caramel. I also used the Sale-A-Bration set "congratulations" I think the saying went well with the picture. What do you think? This one I did some bleach stamping on. The background color is night of navy. I bleached the sprockets and stuck the large brads through them. The face is stamped with bleach on chocolate chip cardstock. Then the saying is stamped on more mustard cs. The clock face is also raised for a more 2-d effect. I think we may do this card next month --April at our workshops. What do you ladies think?

Lighthouse Birthday

The paper colors I used here are basic gray, brocade blue, and of course white. "Birthday Wishes" is done using the Faux Metal. The set is "by the sea" the background is "crackle" I am really pleased how this card turned out. I hope the recipient likes it as well. TFL

Strawberry on Top

SC80 Child's Birthday. Look at me go ladies I am getting this one done on time! YEA me! I hope you are all having as good of luck. I used the "cupcakes" wheel with brilliant blue, to make the background. "Tart & Tangy" for the strawberry. The cupcake was cut out with my wonderful cricut "doodlecharms" cartridge. I also used my cuttlebug to emboss the birthday! Wow I used all of my favorite toys on this one! The red you see is ruby, and the green is of course garden. SC98 Female Birthday

SC98 for a Female Birthday Cut cardstock 7 1/2 x 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4. Measure down 1 5/8 from the top on the short side. Mark a line going all the from the score to the mark you made. This will create the diagnol. For the inside cut the usual 5 1/4 x 4, then for the outside framed portion cut a 3x5 1/4 Use the angel you already created with the edge of the cardstock to mark diagnol cut line. I used the 1 3/4"circle punch. The flowers are from "fast and fun notes" colored with the wonder color crayons. Adhere the ribbon before you glue the top papers in place. Faux Tile Turtorial

To do the faux tile technique, start by scoring your white cardstock. You can use the "scorepal" or just a score blade (shown). Load your paper diagonally, then score at 1" intervals. Position your paper so you can score across the lines you have established. Making a criss cross pattern, now it looks like a tile grid. With a sponge brayer, or daubers add some color to your tile. Be sure to put more emphasis into your lines! So the "grout" lines will show. You can then decorate your tile as you like. And finish your card. See how what a cool the tile gives as a background!

Best Friend Thanks

I made this thank you card for Amber, as always she deserves a big thank you for always being there for me! I used an old wheel "spring time" with the new big shot cut out (I used the cricut though-Storybook cart.) The buttons on the top left are faux metal.

60th Bday

This card I made for my "other" dad. For his 60th Birthday! I used SU gold paper, and embossed the flowers and phrase in black. He loved it. Which is very good. Very easy card to make, but looks really elegant.

Swirly Heart of Love

Here is as Valentine card I made. I used the cuttle bug for the embossed background. Add some black ink to the emboss folder before inserting paper. I used the cricut to cut out the swirl heart. Sponged colors onto the heart, and added glitter. There is a black background that was also cut from the cricut. The ribbon is misc. stuff I had around. I love the look of the tafeta it is very elegant.
