Bears to you
I am working ahead for July birthdays now!!! This one is for my brother!!! I think this bear is awesome he is from" under the stars". Goes great with the big beer mug from "cheers for you" I also used the "skeeters" wheel on the background. I put crystal effects on the mug to make it look like glass! Very fun.
Better with a friend
I used the wondercolor crayons on this project. Notice how the background is all different colors. It is really beautiful in person. (as usual right)
Take you crayons and color on your background stamp. Then spritz the background, and stamp it on your cardstock. Voila beautiful multicolored background. I finished up this card with "and everything nice" stamp set. I love those girls. Hmmmm.. the colors I used were-pretty in pink, tempting turquoise, cameo coral, so saffron. Some misc. brads I had and some ribbon. This was really a fun card to make TFL.
April Swaps
April 2009 Swap Challenge! Theme this month was Sympathy! As usual they look great. Special congrats to Steph. Those cards are absolutely beautiful!
Sympathy
I did this card for the swap challenge in April 09, however I didn't follow the sketch. I just knew I wanted to use this stamp. That was the reason for getting this stamp was for sympathy cards.

Kissing
There are many variations to the kissing technique. So here is some
to get you started. Begin by inking up a well chosen background. One
with a lot of detail works best! =)
Okay this shows using a small solid image stamp to 'stamp off'
some color on the background stamp. Then use the solid
image to kiss another sheet of paper. See the flowers below
on the white sheet. The flowers have the design from the background.
(I used "canvas")
After you have stamped some images off of the background stamp. Huff the
background stamp and stamp on cardstock. This is shown on the left side of
the picture above. Where you have stamped off, shows a faint image of the
flower.
Okay this variation (this is for demonstration purposes only-so I chose colors
that would show, rather than look good) Anyway ink up your background stamp
with a light color as usual, now this time grab a darker ink and apply to the small
solid image, stamp directly on to the background. Now huff, invert, and stamp.
On this one the image are darker, but still have the texture, which gives a really
cool background effect don't you think? TFL
de'cor elements -Thoughts & Prayer Tree
The first thing-of course after you open you package. Is to rub the decal on to the transfer paper. As you can see I used my handy dandy cricut tool! It works perfectly to rub it on to the wall as well.
Before placing your object on the wall decide exactly where you want it, once you adhere it to the surface, you are done, don't move it!!! This picture is of the tree trunk, it still has the transfer paper on. So after you rub the image onto the transfer paper, then place the image on the wall. Rub, rub, rub to get the image off the transfer paper onto the wall. This really is not a difficult task. I put this tree up in 40 min. It is the largest 52 x 36 inches, and the saying. The tree does come in 6 pieces, very easy to understand, and match.
Here is the tree with parts 1, 2, and 3 adhered. Looking pretty good! Only 3 more pieces plus the saying to go. See not so bad is it?
Ok, here is my Thoughts & Prayer tree proudly displayed in my living room. I love it. The saying reads "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams" I love that saying. It is so applicable to my life at this time. I am going to buy another tree, just in case I move.
I hope you enjoy my tree as much as I do-it makes me happy everyday! For the quality of the product and the ease of application it is definitely worth the money. There is a link on the side bar to the de'cor elements brochure. TFL and have a great day!!
Votive Holder
Start with a 10 1/2 x 3 1/4 strip of cardstock. Score at 2 1/2, 5, 7 1/2, & 10.
Use the large tag punch for the windows! Then you will adhere a piece of vellum on the inside of cardstock.
Using the tag corner clip all corners. It is optional but makes it look nice. Then decorate your
windows as desired. I used the "to have and to hold" set here. Stamped them in basic gray, and colored them with markers. Crease your score lines. Use the red sticky tape to adhere it together. Now place a votive inside and it is a really inexpensive decoration that you could use for any occasion.
